Reflection: Connection to Prior Knowledge Winter Holidays: Pulling it all Together - Section 4: Independent Application


In their notebooks, students have compare and contrast note sheets. They can use these to support their writing when completing this portion of the lesson. If stuck on how to structure their writing, which words show that they are comparing or contrasting, then students can pull out this sheet for help. Big Idea: After researching a winter holiday, students will work independently, in partners, and small groups to determine how their chosen holiday is similar to four others.
