Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding George Washington and Main Idea - Section 3: Partner Work

The proficient student (Proficient Student Work)work shows a clear understanding of the main idea and how to add details that support the main idea.  The modified student work (Modified Student Work) shows that the student needed support with handwriting and I wrote in a highlighter. Then the student traced the work. I often allow the students to tell me what to write, but today this student was not able to do so. In this case I just write the answers, explain as I go, and show the student where I am finding the answers in the text. This lesson requires support and differentiation for learners that are not able to write.
