Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Assessment: Addition Story Problem - Section 5: Continued Practice


During the closing discussion, I wanted students to start to have a better understanding of the addition and subtraction relationship.  After the students shared their thinking, I used the same equation (10-6=?) to model an a solution with addition.  Take a look at the video to see the conversation.  You can hear a few of the students responding with "oohs" and "ahhs."
