Reflection: Student Grouping Students At Work: Workstations for Chronological Text Structure - Section 2: Rotations


I had some technical troubles when I started my reader's theater groups, so I let the groups use the tape recorder. Normally, these groups would run smoothly, but putting 10 students on one tape recorder to read a play with only 4 parts was not well thought out. I modified quickly by have the group of 10 divide up to take turns reading and listening. This worked well for the day, but I needed to provide additional time the next day to have my students all finish. The perk of using the computers is that I have multiple units for them to use at one time. If I had ipads in the classroom, this would be even more efficient.
