This speech is a bit difficult for students to comprehend so we begin by sharing what they know about him, what they know about segregation and discuss a bit about the tension and fighting that was happening at the time. Its great also to relate this to books you've read like Ruby Bridges, etc. You can listen to my video for ideas on how to make this purposeful to not only speaking skills but application to real life
