Reflection: Continuous Assessment Transferring Skills To Individual Reading Books: Reader's Workshop - Section 3: Student Work Time

I have really loved incorporating Reader's Workshop in my classroom.  Today's workshop went well.  I was able to work with a group of students who were struggling this week with identifying theme, developing inferences and supporting their thoughts with text evidence.  Working with these small groups of students helped the class stay current with curriculum. The Teacher Workshop Record allows me to keep track of student progress from week to week. Based on the conferences I had today, we are ready to move on Monday to working with our common text, Night.
