Reflection: Intervention and Extension Let's learn together - Section 4: Independent research and graphic organizer


Previous assessments and observations had given me a clear idea of the students that could read and comprehend the selection I had chosen for independent work. It had also shown me which kids needed extra support when reading grade level selections. Letting the core group work independently in reading the selection and in completing the graphic organizer gave me an opportunity for targeted reading instruction with this struggling group. I try to find many such opportunities to increase this groups reading ability.
