Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Equations of Proportional Relationships - Fluency Practice! - Section 3: Summary


In a couple of my classes, we were able to get through the activites with enough time to turn the summary question into a mini-assignment.  Instead of posing the question as a table discussion, I asked students to create a poster that would explain to an outsider what "constant of proportionality" is, and how to find it.  They actually ran out of time during class, so I gave them a little extra time in the next lesson at the end to finish up, which worked out well because they were able to add information on the constant of proportionality in relation to a graph of a proportional relationship.  See the student work samples!!
