My students were super excited about this exit ticket- but mostly I think because they got to write on post it notes!!  Their ideas were very cute, but not as high quality as I had hoped.  I think I needed to make this an entire activity.  I switched gears from writing the paragraph to writing titles and I'm not sure the students made the jump with me.  Next time I do this lesson, I think I will start with a title activity first which will help make the concept of main idea more concrete for the students and then move to this lesson.  Connections are so so important and they have to be made in the correct order for the information to make sense.
