Reflection: Complex Tasks Another Argumentative Paragraph - Section 2: Peer Editing


This activity is one that benefits all my students. The students with the stronger language skills benefit from this activity because they have little experience formulating analytical writing. My struggling students get a lot of support through the check off list, the lists of analytical verbs and the discussion with their peer.

In this video clip one of my English Learners is working with a peer. She has not finished her paragraph, but they are fully engaged in identifying language to support her paragraph. I know this is time well spent and I hope to see gradual improvement in her writing.
