Reflection: Cinderella Here, Cinderella There, Cinderella Everywhere Day 3 of 5 - Section 2: Completing Venn Diagram

While it is important to challenge those students who can do the tasks independently, they need monitoring too. They need feedback about what they are doing correctly and what they need to improve on. I feel I did a good job of walking around, praising them, and giving them specific feedback about how to move on. This writing time was 20 minutes and I was very pleased with how well they worked during this time. They completed their assignment with diligence. The work samples reflect their focus. Some students still used a combination of pictures, words, and sentences to compare and contrast their versions of Cinderella. The one student who mostly used pictures needed me to clarify what she needed to do. While she didn't finish and struggled with the assignment, I believe she still understood conceptually the idea of comparing and contrasting.
