Reflection: Rigor Combinations, Day 2 - Section 3: Session Wrap: Strategy Talk

Many students work randomly and don't notice the relationships amongst solutions and using one solution to find another.  Some students won'r recognize when they list the same solution more than once.  Many first graders will be unable to find and show that they have found all of the possible combinations.  however, all of the students are being encouraged to find relationships among solutions and to think and work more systematically (CCSS.Math.Practice.MP7)
