Reflection: Student Ownership Putting the PIeces Together: Building Claims for Othello Literary Analysis Paper (Day 2 of 3) - Section 1: SSR

I had a great moment this morning when one of my students came to see me before class to talk about book recommendations. When I asked her what kinds of books she was interested in, she said "good books." Talk about leaving the door wide open!

I ended up handing her a copy of The Great Gatsby, which is actually one of our junior level texts. I think she can handle it and I think it will be a good gateway for other complex/high level lit recommendations for this student. I love it when they own their learning like this and am super pumped to be a book pusher for my kiddos.
