Reflection: Joy Using a Calculator Properly: Great Tool for Checking Your Work! - Section 5: Work It Out

There are 101 games you can do with calculators. And if you feel that it is cheating or wrong for students to use calculators think about your own life and how often we use them. We use them all the time. It is a math tool that students need to learn how to use properly. Many students think because it is a calculator, the answers it produces must be correct.

Speed or Rapid Fire rounds where you compete to get the right answers can be a fun way to teach students that they must enter things correctly.

You can even make mistakes, students LOVE IT when I make mistakes, sometimes I make them just to get caught!
