## Reflection: Adaptive Technology Graphing Parallel and Perpendicular Lines (Day 2 of 2) - Section 2: Guided Notes + Practice

There is a fundamental misconceptions that some intersecting lines and perpendicular are synonymous. It is important to stress the difference between intersecting and perpendicular. Some students say any lines that appear to have a “t” share are perpendicular, which .is false. One way to reinforce this concept is with the use of Desmos, the online graphing calculator.  I will  zoom the graph very far out to show students that if the slope is not a negative reciprocal it will eventually intersect.
