Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Modeling: Multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number - Section 4: Closure

I feel that this was a good lesson.  The students enjoyed the lesson.  I enjoyed planning and implementing the lesson.  Based upon my observation, the majority of the class gained knowledge from this lesson.   Most now know how they can use place value to multiply a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number.  They learned to use the distributive property to break apart the 2-digit number into smaller numbers.  They have the conceptual understanding because their area models showed them what they were actually multiplying.
