Reflection: Qualitative Evaluations Multiple Representations - Linear Functions - Section 3: Closing


The key understanding I want students to take from this unit is that tables, rules, graphs, and equations are all representations of the same thing. I think this assessment is a key piece in making sure students understand these relationships.  I like that students have to provide an explanation for how to move from one representation to another. Here I am trying to get them to connect between the representations to deepen their understanding.

Big Idea: In this summative activity, students work together to create posters that give instructions for moving between representations of a linear function.
