Reflection: High Expectations Is a liquid, solid, or a gas? - Section 3: Explore



This investigation allowed the students to use inference as they made a prediction of what was inside the plastic containers.  This enhanced students’ curiosity as they dialogued with their peers. They could not wait to see if their predictions were accurate.  When they opened the containers, the students were excited to see that their predictions were correct.  This investigation permitted students to work on several science skills which helped them to understand that scientists use particular skills to help with scientific discovery.
