Reflection: Shared Expectations Endangered Species - A Multiday Project - Section 5: Project Work Days

My students and I really enjoy this type of project since it offers many points of entry and provides multiple opportunities for success. For 10 days, the students are all over the place, researching, talking to each other and seem like they need little support. Don't be fooled! During this time, you will act as facilitator and moderator of discussions, as well as counselor when the inevitable conflicts arise. As you walk around, it is imperative that you notice and redirect students before they fall into the internet rabbit hole, and gently guide them into productive research.
