Reflection: Accountability The Senses - Flipped - Section 3: Explore


When working in groups, even the best students can be tempted to sit back and let someone else in the group take over. During group work, it is important to be very proactive in making sure that each student is participating in the group and contributing to the group conversation.  I do this by frequently checking in with the groups and asking the students questions about what they have discussed and their thoughts regarding their discussions. If a student is not sure, I do not accept, "I don't know" for an answer. Instead, I break the question down into smaller parts, helping the student to develop the correct answer.
