Reflection: Trust and Respect STEM Lab: Investigating Balance - Section 3: Think


All year we work together in science and I really think my students have come a long way in developing trust and respect. This video about Balance and Weight exemplifies that to me, as one of my students shares his idea openly and does not get frustrated or annoyed that another student has a solution he did not think of! I keep the conversation moving pretty quickly during this kind of discourse because first graders tend to need a lot of support directing the conversation, but the content is all theirs! I am really impressed by their critical thinking in this lesson!
