Reflection: Journaling Volcano Art and Writing Project - Section 3: Write


I had the children keyboard their informational paragraphs in the computer lab.  They practiced their keyboarding and editing skills, which was greatly needed. Taking their handwritten copy on lined paper to a product which was typed just made the whole project look impressive.  The end product looked really great!

Big Idea: We have learned so much about volcanoes. Let's take that knowledge make a product that is an educational trifecta--blending science, art and writing!
