Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Friction Investigation - Section 3: Wrap Up


The students really enjoyed this lesson and I think it was because the lesson is very hands on. However, it was very difficult for some of the students to feel the heat that the chopsticks were producing. I do not think that chopsticks were the best option for the lesson because of this reason. I think maybe using an eraser in the future would have a better effect.

Objective: Students will be able to investigate and apply ideas to reduce friction between materials.

Big Idea: Students will apply different objects and coatings to chopsticks to see how they effect friction.
