Reflection: Checks for Understanding Drums - Section 5: Elaborate


This student work shows how important it is to walk around and monitor students work while they are still at their desks working. This student finished early, and I am assessing the work. I see that they did not hear anything, and the students should hear tapping. So, I model how hard to tap. I then allow the student to tap like me. This student might not have gained the entire understanding that vibrations make sound, because they did not tap hard enough. Since, I was assessing the students while they were working I was able to reteach, and I helped the student with their experiment.
