Measuring the depth was a bit challenging for some groups of students.  Make sure to walk around and see that they have turned the meter stick in the proper direction!  Some of my students were trying to measure the height again.  Once corrected, they were right back on track.

Objective: SWBAT build a tower following their plan and then measure and weigh the tower.

Big Idea: We can build a tower from plans that we have developed. Once built, we can measure the structure to see if it meets the specifications.
