Reflection: Checks for Understanding The Heart - Section 3: Independent Practice


Having the students work on a paper model of the human heart was difficult for them.  The students had a very hard time relating the paper to the real human heart. 

In the future, I may need to show the students more two-dimensional pictures of the heart during the lesson for them to be able to make the connection.

Big Idea: Students learn that the human body has an organ called the "heart" that pumps blood through our bodies to keep us alive.
