Reflection: Checks for Understanding What is a Hurricane? - Section 5: Class Discussion/Wrap up


By using the graphic organizer to determine what three facts they have learned about hurricanes, my students were able to give me a glimpse into the different levels of content understanding in my classroom. I was then able to determine if I should revisit any areas before moving on and adjust my plans accordingly. This type of informal assessment is very non-threatening and risk free for my students.
