Reflection: Intervention and Extension Observing Apples - Section 5: Elaborate


There is plenty of research concerning the use of classical music in the classroom.  As well as, varying degrees of philosophy on the choice of music you choose.  

I tend to choose music that I can also tie directly to the unit or theme I am teaching at the time. During this particular unit, we listen to Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons."  It is a beautiful piece of music that exposes my children to a lovely piece of work and allows me an opportunity to share a bit about the life of Vivaldi and his work.  

The music also integrates perfectly with the study of the seasons.  The seasons have a direct correlation to studying and learning about apples.
