Reflection: Checks for Understanding Water Habitats - Section 4: Extend- Day 2- Salt Water and Fresh Water Investigation


This activity permitted the students to think critically about why fresh water is better for lettuce than salt water. The student realized that the salt drew water out of the lettuce and it caused it to wilt. The fresh water provided water for the lettuce, so it became crispy. As a result, students learned that fresh water was better for lettuce.
