When students draw, I can see what they are thinking, how they see the lesson and what is their ultimate takeaway from the lesson.

Taking the time for students to draw gives them the opportunity to reflect upon what they discovered today. Reflection helps students make meaning from the discovery by taking the time to process the information at a deeper cognitive level.

Objective: SWBAT discover that changing the volume of an object can change its density.

Big Idea: The weight of the object, or mass, is only one part of the density equation. Changing volume can change the density.
