Reflection: Waves Performance Assessment Part 1 - Section 2: Explore

An important concept that I want my students to take away from this assessment and unit, is that in order to move information across distances we can use a variety of formats.  At one time, sending information over long distances was a problem that had to be solved.

I'm not sure I've done my best at communicating this concept, but my students definitely had fun coming up with their message and signals. I realized that my students, growing up in our every changing world of technology, had a difficult time relating that sending messages over distance used to be a problem.  I plan to find a video or other resource to help clarify whey this was a problem long ago.
