Reflection: Complex Tasks Wrapping It Up - Section 3: Independent Work


This is a difficult task as students are asked to put content language into a rhyming or shaped scheme. They not only have to find and gather the information that they need to include, but they must word-smith it in a way that fits into the poetic structure. This is always a very difficult task for my students and one that they often have to revise. I always allow for revisions as this is a mastery task, not merely a graded task.
