Reflection: Problem-based Approaches Gravity and Roller Coasters - Section 4: Wrap Up


My students absolutely loved this lesson. My students were very eager to create their own roller coasters. However, they were shocked that their initial ideas did not work because they either needed more force or less force for their marble to continue moving throughout the roller coaster. These problem based approached encourages students to problem solve and share different solutions with their groups. Working in teams allowed students to collaborate with one another and share ideas to create the perfect roller coaster.
