Reflection: Real World Applications Periodic Table Videos - Section 2: Student Activity


This may seem like a simple activity to implement (it is), but don't assume that higher level learning is not working. You are providing a resource to your students where they can easily look up information about all the elements on the periodic table. With so many kids carrying about powerful handheld computer (e.g., smartphones) they have instant access to information. This resource can be used for the rest of their lives. Learning is changing, memorizing facts is no longer necessary for scientific learning. Students need to know how to find information. Feel proud that you introduced this to them.
