Reflection: Modeling External Parts - Section 3: Soaring to New Heights (Exploration)

When I circulated to this group, I knew that I had made a modeling error.  With first graders, it is important to explicitly model every step in a process.  I did not show each step of having all pictures in the middle and discussing one trait at a time well enough.  These scientists were writing the bird names instead.  Here, I focus them on the list title and task, and then show them how to complete the task as a group.
