Reflection: Checks for Understanding Does it Push or Pull ? - Section 5: Class Discussion/Wrap up


The students love this lesson, but did they get it? Having my students use the 3-2-1 strategy has been beneficial for me, as well as my students. It helps them zero in on that academic vocabulary that is essential to the Common Core as well as the Next Generation Science Standards. It's a fast and easy way for them to assess themselves while helping me see what concept I may need to revisit in order for there to be a deeper understanding.

Objective: SWBAT: Make observations of an object’s motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion by taking pictures/video explaining the force as push or pull.

Big Idea: All forces have something in common, they either push or pull.
