Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Science is "Snow" Much Fun! (Part 1) - Section 3: Explore

Using frameworks such as a graphic organizer can greatly benefit the students of all abilities. Graphic organizers display information, structure, and key conceptual relationships using visual and spatial arrangements or maps. The graphic organizer used in this lesson provides a framework for students to connect existing knowledge about their senses to new information gained from observation. Even the most reluctant learner can be successful when filling them out, although their ideas may basic. Whereas, the higher functioning student can add extra supportive details, so it is not limiting either.  I use them frequently to help the children with their work.
