Reflection: Gradual Release Pronouns Galore! - Section 3: Guided Practice/Independent


This was a bit harder for them than I had originally thought it would be.  I ended up doing a few additional problems with the students as whole class examples, and still needed to pull a small group to work through the activity. 

Once I reminded the students to refer back to their notes, more seemed to be able to problem solve and work on their own.  It is always important for me to remember to remind the students to use their resources.  So many of them believe that because they don't automatically "know it" that they are helpless.  Reminding them to use their resources is valuable and allows them to feel that even if they don't "know" it, they can still figure it out.
