Reflection: Diverse Entry Points Finding Evidence to support analysis of the short story "Sucker" - Section 5: Student Learning Activiy


I understand that no two of my students enter my classroom with identical abilities, experiences, and needs. Some are very reluctant learners and others are able to assertively engage in the text but need support in doing so. Including the sentence starters helped the very reluctant learners begin their analysis sentences and helped those who were engaged to not spend a lot of time finding the evidence I was asking for. I realized that different entry points for various needs are essential with a mixed ability class.
