Reflection: Checks for Understanding The Nature of Science - Section 3: Explain

My students did not have a frame of reference for understanding science.  Out of 26 students, I have three students who attended Pre-K classes.  These three students had no exclamation for science although two of them could discuss a few basic science concepts.  For instance, two of the students attempted to explain what happens to ice in the sun. Nevertheless, their understanding of science in general was insignificant.  The other students simply have not been exposed to any science concepts thus, I know that I will have to be very methodical in my science instruction.
