Reflection: Adjustments to Practice It's In the Bag: First Week of School Activities - Section 3: Modeling


I had used this lesson as a "Get to Know You" activity many times but never thought about expanding it into a full writing lesson until I was assigned to teach a Writing/ELA class. I had never thought to model for students how to make the activity engaging until now. This made sharing time much more interactive and students seem to feel more comfortable about sharing.
