Reflection: Staircase of Complexity Individual Writing - Active Listening - Section 4: Rough Draft

I felt it was important to remind students to use their graphic organizer as a guide.  Too often students complete all the writing process steps, but fail to see that one builds upon the other.  For some reason they treat each step in isolation.   My main focus with this lesson was truly having students realize how much work they have completed by using the graphic organizer and they should be using it as a map to write their Rough Draft.
