Reflection: Complex Tasks Third Read's a Charm! - Section 2: Interact with text/concept


This is not an easy skill for Kindergartners.  They need a lot of guidance and direction.  I refer to the pictures and words and think aloud to to guide students. I use prompts like What does the picture tell us?  Let's reread to see if we can get some hints in the text.

I might also think aloud: Sometimes when I am outside I cannot see my shadow like Bear couldn't see his!
