Reflection: Accountability Shake, Spill & Count 10 - Section 5: Closure

When planning the closure of any lesson, keep accountability in mind. Remember the focus of the lesson should always be on the skill being taught, not just the steps in the game. Ask open-ended questions that require the kids to think and synthesize the information they gained from doing the activity. Allow them to assist each other and learn from each other, but do require individuals to answer questions and explain their thinking (MP3).
