Reflection: Joy Beginning Sounds Daily Practice - Section 1: Why This Lesson?

It is always a good idea to take the somewhat redundant tasks that we must help our students with and turn them into something fun!  I love taking something like beginning sounds practice and making it enjoyable by attaching it to a fun song!  Not only is using a song more entertaining as we practice, but it also allows students another access point to beginning sounds.  Using strategies like songs and cheers can make any lesson more fun for the students while also giving me a great, quick, dependable activity for lining up, cleaning up or covering an extra minute or two!
