Reflection: Performance Tasks Bubbling Over for Wampanoags and Pilgrims! - Section 1: Prepare the Learner

Partner talk is a great way for me to informally assess student knowledge and skills.  Because my students are second lanugage learners, I focus largely on language production through their learning. Talking with a partner lowers their anxiety about generating language because they do not feel that need to be 'perfect' that they feel when they are talking in front of the group.

Partner talk also affords me the opportunity to give the kids that 1:1 or 1;2 coaching that they so need, but I rarely have time to give!
