Reflection: Flexibility Reviewing Text Features to Support Presentation - Section 2: Main Activity

A room full of tri-folds is definately not the most engaging way for an audience to explore a class full of subjects, neither is a collection of written reports.

Therefore, there needs to be some flexibility for how students present information. The students in my class decided to create various displays with items that were labeled and represented the information in their research reports. The group of students that studied the many regions of the country created a map with Fun Facts for each region. The group that studied the arts of Vietnam created a museum display. One student created a tri-fold, one created a poster, and the group of students that studied folktales created a skit of one of folktales. Another student who studied the legends of Vietnam, produced a self drawn book of important spiritual beings.

This made the classroom a very engaging place for people to come in and want to learn about all of the topics that students in the class studied.
