Reflection: High Quality Task The Very Hungry Kindergartner - Section 2: Procedure


I thought I was being clever having the children write an entire book by themselves--that they would get more from the project if they wrote a bit for each day of the week.  As I looked through the quality of the books that the children wrote, I realized that the writing area was too small and so the pages looked messy.  Their writing was too large, so that did leave enough room for a quality drawing. I think if each child had been assigned one or two pages to complete, the quality would have been better and it probably would have made a nice classroom book.  I am not saying that weren't any well done books, but they could have been better.
