This was such an eye-opening activity for students! Never before in this school year have I paired connotation and denotation to discuss its effects on the meaning of words. Partnering the terms together allowed students to understand the value of a definition and how associations develop from its original meaning. I will definitely to do lesson again just earlier in the school year.
