Reflection: Intervention and Extension Poetry: Writing Noun Verses - Section 2: Mini-Lesson

Noun Verse poems are pretty simple for third graders, as long as they have a good understanding of the parts of speech. This lesson usually is preceded by a review of nouns, adjectives, verbs, and synonyms during word study. This refresher will help students remember the difference between those and will allow them to write the Noun Verse poems without much struggle. It’s always important to check their work, however, to make sure they used the correct parts of speech in the correct places.
